Visa Options for Indonesia

Three main pathways to enter Indonesia for conference attendees

✈ Recommended

Visa on Arrival (VoA)

The simplest option for most international travellers. Available directly at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Bali upon arrival.

  • Valid for 30 days (extendable once for 30 more days)
  • Fee: IDR 500,000 (~USD 35)
  • Payment: Cash (IDR/USD) or credit card at airport counter
  • Passport must be valid for ≥ 6 months
  • Return / onward ticket required
  • Available for citizens of 75+ countries

Apply before departure to skip airport queues. Processed via the official Indonesian Immigration portal.

  • Processing time: 3–7 business days
  • Single entry, valid for 30–60 days
  • Fee: IDR 500,000 – IDR 1,500,000 depending on type
  • Upload: passport copy, photo, return ticket
  • Available to most nationalities
🏛 Embassy Route

Embassy / Consulate Visa

Required for nationals of countries not eligible for VoA or e-Visa. Apply at the nearest Indonesian diplomatic mission.

  • Processing time: 5–15 business days (varies by country)
  • Required documents vary by nationality
  • Conference invitation letter available on request

How to Apply for an e-Visa

Step-by-step guide for the Indonesian online visa portal

Visit the Official Portal

Go to molina.imigrasi.go.id — the official Indonesian Immigration e-Visa platform. Avoid third-party websites that charge extra fees.

Create an Account & Select Visa Type

Register with your email address, then select "Visitor Visa (B211A)" for conference / tourism purposes, or "Limited Stay Visa (VITAS)" if required.

Fill Application Form

Enter personal details exactly as they appear in your passport. Provide your intended arrival date, port of entry (Ngurah Rai, Bali), and accommodation details.

Upload Required Documents

Typical documents: colour scan of passport bio-data page, recent passport-size photo (white background), return air ticket, hotel booking confirmation, and conference invitation letter (if applicable).

Pay the Visa Fee

Pay securely online by credit/debit card or via the available Indonesian payment gateways. Keep the payment receipt for your records.

Download & Print Your e-Visa

Once approved (3–7 business days), download the e-Visa PDF. Print a copy and carry it along with your passport. Present it at the immigration counter on arrival.

Important Requirements & Tips

Passport validity: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of entry into Indonesia.
Return / onward ticket: Immigration officers may ask for proof of a confirmed return or onward flight from Indonesia.
Accommodation proof: A hotel booking confirmation or host letter may be required at immigration. The Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort confirmation serves this purpose.
Apply early: For Embassy or e-Visa routes, apply at least 6–8 weeks before your travel date to allow sufficient processing time.
Sufficient funds: You may need to show proof of sufficient funds for your stay — a bank statement or credit card is generally acceptable.

Conference Invitation Letter

Registered participants may request an official Invitation Letter for visa purposes from the organizing committee. The letter confirms your participation in IC3T-2026 and can be used to support your visa application at the Embassy or e-Visa portal.
To request an invitation letter, email info@ic3t.org with: full name as on passport, nationality, institution/affiliation, paper ID (if applicable), and passport number.
Allow 3–5 business days for the letter to be issued after request. An invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval.
